Immersive, interactive theatre performance commissioned by Absolut Vodka and the Ibiza club night Elrow, to celebrate the traditional Swedish pagan festival of ‘Midsommar’. Participants were led along a subterranean cave route by a storyteller guide, encountering a series of mythical characters and creatures of the darkness, before finally reaching the realm of the ancient fertility goddess, Demeter. Through puppetry, mask, story, song and ritual, the audience groups were invited to understand the sacred polarity of light and dark, before leaving the cave to continue celebrating the shortest night of the year.

Performed in the cave of Cova Santa, Ibiza, for the event Midsommar, conceived by Absolut Vodka and Elrow, in August 2018.
