Mural commission for the multi-disciplinary arts event Holotropia, June 2022.

A storyteller’s backdrop reflecting Ibiza’s cultural, historical and mythical heritage, commissioned by the arts event Holotropia. The centrepiece of the design is the Font d’en Miquelet, an Ibizan well with ancient symbolic motifs painted in its chamber, including a ‘tree of life’. Also incorporated into the panel are terracotta figures relating to the mythology of Ibiza, including votives of the goddess Tanit, and other Phoenician figures and plaques excavated on Ibiza. In the upper left and right corners is the ‘seed of life’ symbol, which is commonly found carved into traditional Ibizan musical instruments and household objects.
