‘Tree of Life’ was a performance art piece reflecting on the meaning of the Mediterranean sea in relation to the inner waters of Ibiza, telling a story of engulfment – by salt – that underpins Ibiza’s seventy year relationship with mass tourism. 

When sea water meets fresh water, opposing forces collide: the outer and the inner, the dominant and the passive, the forces of globalisation and the arcane folklore that defends the sacred.
