‘Catalina’ is a giant puppet representing an Eivissan pagesa (Ibizan peasant woman), commissioned for the environmental activism group Extinction Rebellion Ibiza in 2023. The puppet was the centrepiece of a campaign by the group highlighting the emissions created by private jets (one of which was said to land on Ibiza every 13 seconds, on average, during the peak tourist season in 2022), and took part in the Ibiza Carnival 2023, as well as the Canviem el Rumb protest in 2024.
