‘Es Somni de Pan’ (the dream of Pan) was an adults mask-making, mythology and performance intensive held over the midsummer solstice 2026, in the Northwest of Ibiza. Over the course of four days we explored the mythic identity of the pagan nature god Pan, and their possible entanglement with the folklore and traditional culture of Ibiza. Participants sculpted their own horned masks, inspired by Pan, using newspaper, cardboard, cornflour glue and found/reclaimed natural materials. On the closing evening of the workshop – coinciding with the midsummer solstice – we co-created a performance journey across the workshop site, beginning in the pine forest, traversing a field, and culminating beside a well, where the group removed their masks and participated in the St. Johns Night tradition of bathing their hands and faces with herb-infused spring water.
